There is a central pool, another pool out back by the beach, and an adult sauna pool that is not very hot at all. Not much of a selection and the food was just okay. Sometimes it's so thick you can't get in the ocean at all. When I got my credit card bill the fee was $36. The other two times I have gone to Cancun I was asked to pay a mysterious $5 Mexican government fee at check-in so I thought that was what I was paying. I didn't completely understand her because there were some kids running around yelling. When I checked in the girl at the desk said I had to pay more for my room. Rooms are okay but smaller than the newer hotels.Ī lot of work was being done, painting, power tools, workers on our balcony, but the work did seem necessary. Older hotel so I think they should charge less than the other hotels. They did attempt to fix the situation but I am very sensitive. I would have given a perfect score to this resort but they were doing some painting inside for a few days and the paint gave me a headache. The rooms are lovely and they give you fancy soaps in your choice of scents everynight and you can order aroma therapy. I am going to try the water journey next time!!!! It is highly recommended. If I were any more relaxed I would have been in a coma. The spa is FABULOUS!!! I had a facial and a massage. There are also crafts poolside during the day. There is nightly bar entertainment and a show in the ballroom. There are also yummy selections pool side including an ice cream counter and CHURROS!!! I highly recommend the coffee shop inside where they sell beautiful candies, pastries and lovely crepes. There are ample, different food chooses and everything is delicious. The place is so clean and the staff can not possibly do anything else for you. If you want a place that resembles a spring break frat party this is NOT the place for you. If you want to be pampered, meet people and relax, this is the place for you. This is a lovely, all inclusive, adults only place designed for relaxing. Overall great stay but the resort is not up to par with the reviews and was a little disappointed at the overall service to from reviews to reality. A good room to room update and repair needed. And the sliding balcony doors where broke so could not lock them. Ended up last two days with bathroom lights still on after turning everything off. Rooms need repair had maintenance come out 3 times to fix lights that would not turn off. We did have exceptional service at both the Italian and the sea salt for diner. ![]() This was consistent at most restaurants and we tried all multiple times. And at least 15 to 30 mins between dishes. Took between 15 and 30 mins to get drinks and another 15 to 30 to order. The restaurant at the premium pool ( for lunch 4 times) was slow. The wait times to get served each dish was extremely long. One butler was great and went above and beyond the other butler working with him was ok. We expected a far better food quality based on reviews but unfortunately it was hot or miss and average at best on quality. We did not like the little to no privacy on balcony and the food was hit or miss. My wife loved the amount of fish options far more than normal resorts, but for me being allergic to fish I found it hard to find options I wanted especially at the buffet. We loved the service on the premiere pool it was top notch and the cleanliness of the whole hotel was way above normal.
